The DGA’s money woes are making Wisconsin Democrats scared

Becoming the only blog in Wisconsin that has discredited Team Barrett’s rapid response attack ad on the Republican Governor’s Association, we expose the real reason why Team Barrett is in rapid response mode every time the RGA places an ad in Wisconsin.

The Democratic Governor’s Association promised in November of 2009 to conduct a “defensive” race in Wisconsin.  However, the DGA has not been in full force because of their money woes in other states.  One proof is a recent column in a Nebraska newspaper.  The column exposes party officials in the Cornhusker State expressing their disgust for their party’s nominee along with the DGA for not spending enough money on candidate recruitment.     During the last fundraising period, the DGA was out-raised by the RGA along with having $9.2 milion dollars less cash on hand according to April 2010 fundraising reports.   Also, the proof is  in the pudding of the DGA’s failures that include wasting  money in last year’s New Jersey and Virginia Governors races along with the recent Super Tuesday primaries.  The DGA’s shoddy results come  from priortizing more money on television ad buys over diversifying their funds on not just ad buys, but candidate recrutiment along with the ground game.

Mike Tate Watch got hold of two campaign fundraising e-mails from the Barrett Campaign making their fundraising pleas this week after the RGA placed an ad in Wisconsin.   Anyone can tell Team Barrett’s desperation for money from reading the e-mails as they do not want to admit to Wisconsin voters that one of the national campaign arms that would help Barrett out is seriously lacking on money.

You would expect Mike Tate to put out his always extravagant press release attacking the RGA, but is he scared of the RGA’s strength nationwide while the DGA coughs up money in every other state?  Only if Phil Walzak, the Team Barrett Communications Director is doing all the messaging against the RGA.   This is a sign a part of the Democrat Party infastructure has been caught flat-footed and why the Dems are down in the polls in 28 out of 37 governor races including Wisconsin.

Barrett Campaign missed the net in its rapid response ad against the RGA.

There has been a lot of spin going around with the Republican Governor’s Association and the Barrett Campaign.  This comes from a  deceptive rapid-response ad the Barrett Camp did in response to an ad the RGA did in Colorado.

From looking at the ad  the RGA did to criticize Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, here is the evidence that supports the RGA’s claims and discrediting Team Barrett’s rapid response ad.

Claim 1-Frontier Airlines CEO: Denver Taxes Too High.  That is true, the CEO of Frontier’s Parent company Republic Airways Brian Bedford said in The Denver Post that taxes were a major reason why Frontier moved its operations to Milwaukee.

Source: The Denver Post, November 15, 2009

Claim 2-Now a Democratic Candidate in Another State Confirms Hickenlooper’s failure.  This is the part where all the liberal groups and the Barrett Campaign is salivating about.  All the RGA did is use a Barrett Campaign ad to confirm Frontier Airlines moved to Milwaukee in which a handle of a November 10, 2009 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel appeared on the ad.  Also, the same Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article quoted Republic’s CEO that taxes were a reason why Republic moved operations out of Denver.  There was no mention of praise towards Mayor Tom Barrett whatsoever in the ad despite the Barrett ad was used by the RGA.    Just because the RGA says one thing doesn’t give Team Barrett a license to spin the truth.

These facts prove that Barrett’s Campaign was totally deceptive in its rapid response ad against the Republican Governor’s Association.  The only person we should thank for bringing 800 jobs to Milwaukee is Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.   Hickenlooper’s loss is Wisconsin’s gain period.   This proves why in Claim #3 that John Hickenlooper is an Economic Development Machine for Milwaukee.

Phil Walzak, the Communications Director for Team Barrett may think he had it his way in a rapid-response attack.  But, if shooting rapid response ads were part of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Walcak would be the Cristiano Ronaldo of political rapid response.

The RGA has a new ad that hits home the truth on Barrett

The good folks at the Republican Governor’s Association  has a new online video that hits home the truth on Tom Barrett, and a warning for Wisconsin Taxpayers.

The new video catches Tom Barrett looking at someones wallet meaning that he will raise your taxes. That is demonstrated by his record that he has raised taxes in the State Legislature, as Milwaukee Mayor, and as a Congressman. If you are a Wisconsin Taxpayer, you should hide your wallet after seeing this ad.  That is because Tom Barrett will be looking for your wallet to fund his sham “Putting Madison on a Diet” plan.  The plan sounds more like Madison using Dunkin’ Donuts to lose weight as a smokescreen to fund its big spending programs.

This is the ad that the Wisconsin Democrats fear seeing.

The highly respected Larry Sabato has more bad news for Mike Tate and the Wisconsin Democrats.

The highly respected Larry Sabato from the University of Virginia is again the bearer of bad news for Chairman Mike Tate the week before the State Convention in Middleton.  Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball has Wisconsin as a Leaning Republican Takeover which has been consistent with his previous ratings taken during this year.

When giving his assessment on Tom Barrett, Sabato said that “high personal approval is not enough to win the statehouse.”   The latest ratings from the most respected political mind in the nation should serve as a reminder that his party’s policies are not winning over Wisconsin.  Also, the same statement from Dr. Sabato would resonate on Mayor Barrett’s lack of aggressiveness to keep MillerCoors and Harley Davidson in Wisconsin.

Poll after poll this year has shown already that Wisconsin has had enough of the Democrat’s taxing, spending, and regulation on steroids mentality.   Dr. Sabato’s latest analysis seconds our challenge to Chairman Tate to talk to any of the 174,000 unemployed Wisconsinites who think they are better off now then at the beginning of the 2009 legislative session.   The anwsers he would hear from these people would be the truth that the Democrats have failed Wisconsin.

Comparing GOP candidates to Miss USA Contestants is nonsense.

As the Democratic Party of Wisconsin is desperate to get attention with a record-breaking Republican Party of Wisconsin state convention this weekend, Chairman Tate tries to say that Miss USA contestants including Miss Oklahoma have more substance than the entire state GOP ticket.  That is total spin and nonsense coming from the State Chairman.

When Chairman Tate tries to press the Wisconsin media to ask the same questions the Miss USA finalists were asked, how about Chairman Tate awnser some hard questions of our own in which you will never hear at  the Miss USA pagent  like:

1. What was your role with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in hand-picking Julie Lassa as Sean Duffy’s challenger behind closed doors?

2. Will you rely on the DCCC to campaign effectively for your chosen candidates in key congressional seats when they have wasted a lot money in the Hawaii-1 Congressional special election that is about seeing a Democratic strong seat flip to red due to party infighting?

3. How do you talk your party’s record of economic abyss to any of the 174,000 Wisconsinites that were unemployed in the last legislative session?

4. Are you going to enlist unions like the SEIU to do the dirty work of the Democratic Governor’s Association when they are sorely lacking on cash on hand behind the Republican Governor’s Association?

5. Will you commit during the last five and half months of the election cycle to refrain from using racial references and slurs in official DPW press releases and press conferences?

To return the favor, any of the Miss USA finalists will do a better job anwsering these questions over how Chairman Tate or Graeme Zielinski would anwser these questions.  Even if it takes Erin Andrews or Charissa Thompson to get these anwsers, we look forward to hearing from Chairman Tate or Graeme Zielinski to anwsering our questions for the good of Wisconsin.

Question for Chairman Tate, why do you call normal Walker supporters “cronies”?

Mike Tate again is pulling off another Sidney Crosby style tactic and that is diving to  call normal followers of Scott Walker on Facebook cronies pretending that the DPW Chairman has a vendetta. We know one thing, the DPW Chairman is getting delusional by the second.  Delusional, because he compares a average joe supporting Walker to a well-known donor which lacks logic.   Legendary political reporter Mike Flannery of FOX Chicago would say: “that folks is some serious spin.”

We got news for Chairman Tate, the games of class warfare is not going anywhere in the State of Wisconsin this year.  We can hear some serious spin this weekend from Chairman Tate as the 2010 RPW State Convention starts in four days. No matter what Chairman Tate tries to spin, the people of Wisconsin are aware of his politics of deception since 2006 when he suffered one of the worst defeats ever for a statewide referendum in the Badger State.

Mike Tate Watch will be at the 2010 RPW State Convention in Milwaukee as we are prepared to give gavel to gavel coverage of  the convention.  All the coverage without the serious spin or imitating to be the Sidney Crosby of Wisconsin politics.

Mike Tate is pursuing frivolous campaign finance complaints against Walker Harley Ride

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin State Chairman is acting pretty delusional over Scott Walker and the County Executives Ride. Since last year, Chairman Tate has acted pretty delusional over this issue as he has tried to find a way to derail Walker but failed miserably in doing so.   In the past two years both the Milwaukee County Ethics Board and this year the Government Accountability Board gave Walker the clearance to do this popular event.

Mike Tate’s actions reflect the statement former Oklahoma football star and U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts said on Democrats: “when Democrats can’t win on the issues they will call you a liar, a racist, a  bigot, or they will sue you.”   J.C. Watts could not be anymore right and if he saw Mike Tate, the former Sooner Football legend would make an example out of him.

Mike Tate and his extreme left wing special interest buddies are going to get a high off this issue.  However, if Scott Walker already had the ethics clearance to do this popular event  in the midst of his Governor’s campaign, then we know Chairman Tate is desperate.  The desperation comes as he is trying to hide from the public the deals he has had made with Washington insiders who are trying to rig the political process in Wisconsin by denying a Democratic primary in the 7th Congressional district.

This Sidney Crosby-type political maneuver shows Chairman Tate is running fast from the fact that people in Wisconsin have had enough of his dirty and deceptive tactics.  All Tate is trying to do is winning instant gratification from DNC Chairman Tim Kaine in time for  next month’s state convention in Middleton.

New on our YouTube Channel: Exposing Tom Barrett’s real record with the Milwaukee Police

As Tom Barrett earned the endorsement from the Wisconsin Professional Police Association this week, Mike Tate Watch releases the video the WPPA and Mike Tate does not want you to see.  This video exposes Tom Barrett’s irresponsible record on the Milwaukee Police.

We have looked at his record and present it to you with the facts on why Tom Barrett is no friend to public safety and why people should question his endorsement from the WPPA.

Mike Tate runs a fast one on Scott Walker and law enforcement

Just as Mike Tate continues to deflect scrutiny over allowing the Washington insiders to pick the candidate to challenge Sean Duffy, comes a fast lie from the Dems about the 2011 state budget and law enforcement.

Chairman Tate and Graeme Zielinski are guilty of the same lies we exposed on One Wisconsin Now last week claiming that the state budget gap would get worse under Scott Walker. However, the Dems have no evidence whatsoever from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau to support their claims.

The one thing Chairman Tate should look at is the ineptness Tom Barrett shown on the Milwaukee Police and Fire Departments in the last budget battle.   Tom Barrett put Police officers and Firefighters at risk in Milwaukee by furloughing them in which Barrett’s administration got sued by the unions representing the Police in a federal court. Also, Today’s TMJ 4’s Aaron Diamant exposed Mayor Barrett failing to stop Police administrators from wasting $17 million dollars of taxpayer money on a Police radio system that is not working. In 2007, Mayor Barrett was also criticized on being silent when the City of Milwaukee had dealt with increasing crime rates in which put Milwaukee in a negative light with the national media.

This is nothing but classical political pandering from Chairman Tate who tries to claim Tom Barrett is a public safety champion while in reality he is making life more difficult for the men and women that protect Milwaukee’s citizens.

More evidence shows that Harley Davidson took a hit from combined reporting

As the Democrats in Wisconsin fail to take responsibility for passing the corporate combined reporting tax, a great piece comes from 620 WTMJ exposes that Harley Davidson was hit by combined reporting and not what the hyper-partisan One Wisconsin Now claims in a press release issued Friday.

The report from 620 WTMJ revealed that Harley Davidson’s effective tax rate increased over 10 percent because of the implementation of the  combined reporting tax. The increase was just in the first quarter of 2009 alone.  Also, the same WTMJ report exposed that during a company conference call  the new combined tax rate was a reason for 400 jobs lost in 2009 according to company officials.   From that indication, this is a reason why their labor costs have increased over the last year putting the well-known company into making  a decision that could ship many family supporting jobs to other states like Kentucky, Indiana, or Nevada.

Also, One Wisconsin Now stretches an analysis of the pending 2011-2012 Wisconsin State Budget from the Wisconsin Legislative Fiscal Bureau in which they claim that Scott Walker or Mark Neumann would increase the budget deficit if combined reporting is repealed.  However, the LFB has not done an analysis on any proposed Walker or Neumann budget which exposes a big, whopping, sensational lie from a group connected to liberal billionaire George Soros.

The liberal bloggers and special interest groups will do or say anything to avoid taking responsibility on the Harley issue.   Mike Tate Watch has already exposed Democrats and their liberal allies passing the buck on the Harley issue. One Wisconsin Now’s lies and distortions is the latest liberal whopper exposed in which the extreme-left will continue to say anything in order to keep pressing a divisive class-warfare agenda that Wisconsin is harshly rejecting.   The hits just keep on coming.
